Winter Weather and health tips

Hello moms,

I just wanted to send out the Winter Health and Safety tip sheet again (see below).

It goes over our weather policy and also reminds you to be prepared for any weather!

For example, keep hats, coats, gloves, blankets in your car just in case we go outside.  If you do not want to bring them in you can always get them on the way out.

The sheet also says that it may be warm in the malls so it is best to wear layers.  For example, you may want to wear a tank top under a long sleeve shirt or jacket.   Or shorts under pants.

I always keep these things in the car for Skylyn and gloves and a hat for me in my car!

Health & Safety Tips
Not only for us as moms but for our children as well.
It is important that we all take precautions to stay safe while we exercise;
If you or your children have a fever, flu symptoms, strep throat, green/yellow snot
or anything else that is or could be contagious, please stay home and take care
of yourself or your children. It is best to be symptom free for over 24 hours before
returning to class. This way you will feel better and not take a chance of getting sick
again. This will also help keep the spread of sickness down during the winter months.
(We clean and disinfect all the toys the children play with during class everyday.)
Winter Time Health Tips:
1. For the safety of our children and others at the venue we are working
out at (Malls, Parks, etc.) Please keep your children STRAPPED into their
strollers at ALL TIMES! Per my insurance policy and contract with the indoor
venues we use, children must be in their strollers at all times during class.
Don’t worry, they will be able to get out and play at the end of class!
2. When INSIDE the Malls, please be aware & curtious to the other Mall walkers at all times.
3. When inside the Mall, please keep in a single file line. (not side by side)
4. Do not BLOCK the malls walking paths. (mall rules)
5. Do not RUN in the malls. (mall rules) We will still get a great workout, I promise!
6. Our children need to STAY INSIDE THE STROLLERS AT ALL TIMES!
(unless they are in distress-see tip #7).
7. If your child is in distress, please pull your stroller over and take care of them.
We are moms FIRST! Simply rejoin the class when everything is alright again!
8. Class starts promptly at 9:00am (8:45am on Thur) and ends at 9:50am.
We must be done working out before the stores in the Mall are open (10am)
and we must be out of the Church Gym no later than 10:10am.
Winter Time Safety Rules:
1. Bring plenty of water
2. Stay hydrated all day
3. Go at your own fitness level
4. The malls are warm, dress accordingly (layers are a good idea)
5. Keep blankets, jackets, hats & mittens in your car. On days that are 40 degrees
or warmer (weather permitting) we will go outside.
6. Eat something healthy & light 30 minutes to an hour before class
7. If you feel dizzy or nauseous, walk & take it easy
8. Bring snacks & water for your children

Sickness:
If you or your children have a fever, flu symptoms, strep throat, green/yellow snot
or anything else that is or could be contagious, please stay home and take care
of yourself or your children. It is best to be symptom free for over 24 hours before
returning to class. This way you will feel better and not take a chance of getting sick
again. This will also help keep the spread of sickness down during the winter months.
(We clean and disinfect all the toys the children play with during class everyday.)

I hope this helps!

It was great seeing some of you at Kid Fest!  Thank you to Dianna and Ashley H. for helping out at stage time!!!:)

In Health,
